Top Finishers at the 2017 Phoenix Q40 Classic

Dennis Cranfill, Robert Holik and Travis Flynn took top honors at the 2017 Phoenix Q40 Pylon Race.

Dennis finished in 1st place with a perfect score and had a fast time of 1:00.95 with his Miss Dara. The Miss Dara was designed by Dan Kane and Tom Scott. The airplane was powered by a Nelson 40 motor and an APC 7.4x7.5C propeller.

Robert took 2nd place and had a fast time of 1:01.58 with his Strega. The Strega was manufactured by Paolo Pampana in Italy and built by Robert. His airplane was also powered by a Nelson 40 motor, he used an APC 7.4x7.6C propeller.

Travis was 3rd and had a fast time of 1:00.12 with his Miss Dara. His Miss Dara was built by Dan Kane and was also powered by a Nelson 40 motor, Travis used an APC 7.4x7.6C propeller.

This years event had 85 entries from 8 countries; the United States, Canada, Mexico, Guatemala, Venezuela, Brazil, Italy, and the Netherlands.
Flying conditions were perfect.
